Controls

  • WASD - Move
    • Left-Shift + WASD - Faces character in specific direction.
  • E - Interact (Pick up items)
  • SPACE - Use weapon (alternativley walk into monsters to hit them).
  • 1 - 5 - Use Skills
  • Q - Skip Turn/Cancel Use Skill
  • Tab - Change Targets
  • I - Open/Close Inventory
  • C - Open/Close Chacter Info
  • ESC - Close UI Windows

Tips and other stuff

Your skills will be used on the currently selected target. If no target is selected then the nearest appropriate target will be selected. 

Some Skills require no targets, just a valid position. In this case the current mouse position will determine where the location of the skill will be used. (See the "teleport" spell in slot 5).

At the moment you can pick up objects by pressing the "interact" button (E). Either stand on top of the object or turn to face one. You will always pick up the object directly underneath you first before one that you are facing.

You can drag an item outside of the inventory to drop it beneath you.

Description

This is the current state of a game I'm currently developing in Unity.  If you have any feedback or suggestions feel free to leave them in the comments.

Assets

The assets I'm using are from are from all over the place. I've tried to list what I can. I'm planning on using these on a temporary basis. When the game is nearing completion I hope to get an artist to do some custom work for me.

I've been playing a bit. But as soon as I got into the first rat the game just freezed (not the game but the controls, I still saw the torch animation). The game is getting good! Keep on it man :)

Ah yea I noticed this yesterday when i tested that build. Probably should have tested it before I uploaded it the night before :P I changed something with how collisions work and it screwed with the AI so its permenantly in a state of "What the heck am I meant to do?". It's fixed my end now, I'll upload a build later tonight with what I hope has the next major system implemented into it as well. Leveling up and learning new skills.

I've found a bug. The sturdy leather armor are actually greaves!

Thanks for that I fixed it now, bugs can be anywhere!
